Farewell Party for Melissa Hippard, Chapter Director

Everyone is invited to the farewell party for Melissa Hippard on Friday, July 10 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the Peninsula Conservation Center, 3921 E. Bayshore Road, Palo Alto. Please drop in and join us for llight refreshments, wine and punch, and music as we salute Melissa and bid her a fond farewell. Melissa is leaving her position as Chapter Director after six years in that position. No RSVP is necessary. Just come!
Residential Solar Permit Fee Study Extended to Southern California
In June 2009, the Sierra Club ( Loma Prieta Chapter partnering with Angeles Chapter) published a report that compares what 251 municipalities in Southern California charge for a permit to install photovoltaic solar panels on residential roofs. The purpose of the report and related campaign is to persuade municipalities to reduce PV permit fee levels to $324 or less and issue PV permits promptly. More
