80th Anniversary Hike with John Muir in Muir Woods - September 14, 2013 
Want to hike with John Muir? On Saturday, September 14 at 9:00am we will be holding a special hike in Muir Woods led by John Muir impersonator, Frank Helling. More details here. Space is limited to 30. Tickets: $50, includes lunch. 80th Anniversary Celebration sponsors will receive free tickets to this hike.

Keynote Speaker - Dr. Nina Robers. A Fulbright Scholar, Dr. Nina Roberts is an Associate Professor at San Francisco State University and Director of the Pacific Leadership Institute. Nina Roberts is a dynamic educator and respected leader. Her research is highly regarded in the areas of race/ethnicity, culture and natural resources.She is nationally recognized for her leadership on race/ethnicity, youth development, culture, and visitation to parks and public lands. Her talk at our 80th Anniversary is appropriate as we look ahead to our next 80 years, "Conservation and the Changing Face of America." (Full bio and Faculty webpage)


Master of Ceremonies - Senator Jerry Hill. Jerry Hill joined the California Legislature’s upper house last year with a strong track record of leadership, environmental stewardship and public service. He was the mayor of the city of San Mateo, a San Mateo County supervisor and a state assemblymember before being elected to the Senate in November 2012. Since he entered public service, Senator Hill has been a champion of measures and reforms that improve the quality of life in our community and protect our environment. Jerry Hill graduated from UC Berkeley and has a teaching credential from San Francisco State University.
