The Chapter is now in the process of finalizing a decision and making an offer to a new Chapter Director.

After Melissa Hippard announced that she was stepping down from the post, the Chapter's Executive Committee decided how to operate the Chapter in her absence. They then began the process of finding a replacement.

"We were looking more for somebody who was very strong in fundraising," says Chapter Chair Charles Schafer, someone "very good with volunteers; who would be a good public face for the Chapter." The committee was also looking for someone who would work well with the staff. The Chapter's Operating Committee screened resumes, and Charles Schafer and Executive Committee member Rob Rennie interviewed six candidates. In a second round of interviews three of those candidates were interviewed by other members of the Executive Committee and Chapter Coordinator Mindy Hill.
