They have finally opened the Virginia Mill Trail, enabling a hike along the entire perimeter of the
park. Those who have hiked in the park with me before will have a chance to experience many new trails.

January 16 Junipero Serra Peak Sunday 3D.
Named after Frair Junipero Serra, the founder of the Missions, this peak is the highest in
Monterey county. The walk up is mildly strenuous with an altitude gain of 3900+ feet and six miles
ONE way on trail, but the view is well worth the effort. Pouring rain cancels.
