A = Less than 1000 feet of total elevation gain

D = 3000 to 4000 feet
E = 4000 to 5000 feet
(etc)
For example, a 4C hike would be up to 20 miles and up to 3000' gain.
March 4 - San Francisco City Hike - Sat 4C (18 Miles)
Join us for a walk from Fort Mason through Fisherman’s Wharf and the Embarcadero to various
points of interest arriving in time for lunch on Potrero Hill. We’ll
return via other various points of interest. Carpool: Edgewood and 280 Park & Ride
at 7:45 am or Westborough Blvd (Denny's) So. San Francisco at 8:00 am;
or meet in front of Greens Restaurant at Fort Mason 8:30 am. Must call
leaders if you haven't hiked with us before.

March 6 - Hike Leaders Meeting - Monday 7:30 pm
The meeting will be held at the Peninsula Conservation Center, 3921 Bayshore Rd, Palo Alto.

March 11 - Mt. Diablo and Eagle Peak - Sat 4E
A fairly strenuous romp on Diablo - about 17 miles, 4500 feet or so of elevation gain,
some steep trails. Starting at the Mitchell Canyon trailhead, we’ll visit Eagle
Peak, continue to the summit, and return via the scenic Falls trail.
Carpool 7:30 am at Cubberley High in Palo Alto (Middlefield and Montrose)
or 8:00 am at Mission Blvd and 680 Park & Ride (across from McDonald's) or meet 9:00 am
at the Mitchell Canyon trailhead.

March 18 - Mt Sizer and Beyond - Sat 4D+
This is a wonderful loop with great vistas from the ridge. We’ll hike out to Rock House Ridge.
This hike will be fast and strenuous - please call the Leaders if you haven't
hiked with this group. Heavy rain cancels. Carpool: 7:40 am at Cottle and Highway 85 Park & Ride or
8:30 am at Henry Coe Park Headquarters.
