You can lead all kinds of fun activities, including dinner parties, strolls on the beach, bird watching, camping, movie nights, whale watching or BBQ's. Outings can be as wonderful as your imagination, or view our outing suggestions. Of course, we welcome people who want to lead strenuous outings like backpacking, kayaking, caving and biking, too! How to Become a Outing Leader It's simple! All you need are two co-leads and a first aid certificate, in addition to being a member. GLS has a Leader Mentorship Program, in which an experienced Leader guides you through the process of becoming a Certified GLS Outing Leader. Even if you've already found a Mentor, please contact the Outings Chair when you decide you want to become a Leader. The application can be printed and mailed to the Outings Chair.
