The Sierra Club has recommendations for two November propositions: vote "Yes" on Proposition 21 to save our state parks and implement a payment system that will sustain the system long into the future, and vote "No" on Proposition 23, which threatens to undo California's landmark anti-global warming law, AB32.
Proposition 15, which would have launched a pilot program to test public financing of state campaigns, was defeated in the June 8 statewide primary, despite strong support from the Chapter. Still, the Chapter Fair Elections committee believes the debate over publicly financed campaigns has only just begun.
