Benefit for the Endangered Cheetah

The cheetah, the fastest land animal on earth, could easily beat any Olympic sprinter in Sydney. But this unique cat cannot outrun extinction without our help.

Laurie Marker, the director and co-founder of the Cheetah Conservation Fund, has dedicated her life to saving the cheetah in the wild. With a small, dedicated staff, Laurie lives and works in Namibia, Africa, the home of the world’s largest population of cheetahs. CCF works closely with local people to help them live in harmony with cheetahs. CCF’s innovative biological, educational and conservation management methods have helped to make Namibia the "Cheetah Capital of the World".

Laurie will visit the Bay Area this fall, bringing with her a fantastic presentation of the work of CCF and the wild cheetah in Namibia. Live cheetahs and other wild cats will accompany her at the events. These events will occur October 7 & 8 at Foothill Auditorium. Preregistration required.
