Bogosian and Waltonsmith Endorsed for Saratoga City Council

The Chapter has endorsed Bogosian and Ann Waltonsmith for Saratoga’s City Council after careful consideration.

Both Waltonsmith and Bogosian are known for their strong leadership as past Planning Commissioners and current Saratoga City Council Members. Stan Bososian spearheaded settlement of the Saratoga Creek litigation (closing that dollar drain), and he and Waltonsmith have helped form coalitions on the City Council to 1) find and correct the sources of pollution in Saratoga Creek; 2) preserve the Heritage Orchard; 3) require appropriate mitigation for the Masson Mountain Winery proposed expansion; 4) expand youth, family, and senior recreation opportunities in the City; 5) direct staff to develop traffic calming solutions for neighborhoods besieged by cut-through traffic; 6) prevent another freeway interchange in Saratoga (since interchanges increase traffic); and 7) pursue transit options for Saratoga schoolchildren.

Both Ann Waltonsmith and Stan Bogosian are also endorsed by the California League of Conservation Voters.
