STS Membership

Membership in the Loma Prieta Ski Touring Section is limited to members of the Sierra Club. Non-members are welcome to participate in STS outings on a trial basis and at the discretion of trip leaders. Beyond a trial period, non-members are expected to join the Sierra Club.

How to Join

Sierra Club members interested in joining STS can do so by sending a check for annual dues (payable to "Ski Touring Section") to the Section Treasurer. Rates are $5/year for electronic distribution of newsletter Track or $15/year for hard-copy Track. Include your name, address, telephone number, and proof of Sierra Club membership. Send everything to:

Proof of Sierra Club membership may be one of the following:
  1. A copy of your current Sierra Club membership card
  2. A copy of both sides of the canceled check you sent to join Sierra Club
  3. The back page of the current Loma Prietan with mailing label
  4. A recent mailing label and cover from Sierra Magazine
